FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Announcement Regarding Our CEO

, July 19, 2024

On behalf of the Board of Directors of Supply Chain Canada, we announce the retirement of our President and Chief Executive Officer, Martin Montanti, which will be effective as of October 2024.  Martin has served as the CEO of Supply Chain Canada for over two years.

Martin has a long and impressive, 40-year history within the supply chain industry, he has been an SCMP designation holder since 1985 and is a former Assistant Deputy Minister for the Government of Manitoba.

Martin was hired as the CEO of Supply Chain Canada in 2022 on a two-year contract, to guide the Association through a very challenging time.  With Martin as CEO, the National Association staff was completely rebuilt, relationships with our Institute partners have been restored and financial stability has been obtained. Most importantly, our members nationally, including those in Ontario and British Columbia, have been positively impacted by our improved communication and direction under Martin’s leadership. Martin remains dedicated and will continue his efforts throughout the transition period.

The Supply Chain Canada team has benefited from Martin’s hard work and dedication to the advancement of the supply chain profession. Our board is truly excited for him as he enters a new chapter in life and will be celebrating his service in many ways during the months to come.

Our Board of Directors will search diligently to find the best candidate to succeed Martin as our next CEO and has already started the recruitment process.  We appreciate your encouragement, support and trust as we search for our new leader.

Join me in thanking Martin for his leadership, please take the time to congratulate him on both his accomplishments and upcoming retirement.  He has made many friends during his time with Supply Chain Canada, and I know he will appreciate the opportunity to celebrate together.

Thank you,

 Michael Whelan, SCMP
