CALL FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST SUPPLY CHAIN CANADA NATIONAL BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The Nomination Committee is responsible for presenting a Slate of Directors to members to ensure the Association is governed with excellence and vision and is now issuing a Call for Expression of Interest in serving on the Supply Chain Canada National Board of Directors:

Nominations for this position must be formally submitted on the attached Call for Expression of Interest Form.

The bio sheet template must be completed and a current resume (maximum 2 pages) provided.

Candidates are requested to read the attached duties and responsibilities of a Supply Chain Canada Board Director and be aware that there is an expectation that Board Directors will serve on Board Committees.

You will also find attached the list of core and complementary competencies that prospective Board members will need to demonstrate as part of the Nominating Committee’s process to develop the competency-based slate of Directors. There are a minimum of two (2) Director positions to be filled. These positions are open to members and non-members. To fill these vacancies, experience in the following areas (but not limited to) would be beneficial:

Fluency in French:

Fluent in the French language (where fluency can be determined through a proficiency test, certification, formal education, etc.)

Education Program Delivery/Curriculum Development:

Experience designing curriculum materials tailored to specific educational objectives (ideally in Supply Chain field) leveraging innovative and emerging teaching methodologies.

Experience in adult program delivery via sessions, workshops, or courses, utilizing effective instructional techniques to facilitate learning, feedback, and management of instructors.

Marketing and Growth Experience:

Member has formal education or training (with a distinguishable designation) in the Sales or Marketing field, and/or has 5 or more years of experience with a role in this field.

Member of the Supply Chain Canada Federation Council/Institute Advisory Committee

Candidates must have the support of their employer (if applicable) to take up the position and agree to the time commitment involved by signing the attached Call for Expression of Interest Form.

References will be requested for the candidates who are selected for interview.

Inclusion on the slate of directors is subject to a successful third-party background check. Candidates are requested to indicate agreement to undergo the third-party background check by signing the Call for Expression of Interest Form.

BACKGROUND

On September 26, 2024, Supply Chain Canada will hold its Annual General Meeting (AGM). At this meeting, the members of the Supply Chain Canada National Board of Directors will be approved.

The Board is currently comprised of eleven (11) voting Directors plus the President & CEO ex officio.

As per Supply Chain Canada’s governance structure, Board Directors may serve for a term of up to three years.

A position on the National Board of Directors offers individuals an opportunity to contribute to the mission, vision and strategic direction of Supply Chain Canada and to contribute to the advancement of the supply chain management profession. All Expressions of Interest will be held in strict confidence and will be confirmed upon receipt.
