Recognition of Prior Learning Self-Assessment

How to fill in the Self-Assessment

The Self-Assessment is an opportunity for the candidate to evaluate their education and experience to determine if they can prove that they have obtained an 80% match to Supply Chain Canada’s learning outcomes.

Applicants will complete the self-assessment to determine prior to payment which exemptions they would like to apply for, knowing that after payment they will be asked for documents to prove they have obtained these learning outcomes.

Once the applicant has completed the self-assessment, they will be contacted via email for the payment and document upload link. If the candidate feels they do not have the experience and/or education to meet that 80% match in learning outcomes, they are under no obligation to continue the application process.

Documents that help prove your match to SCC’s learning outcomes could include:

  • Resume/CV: A detailed summary of the candidate’s work experience, education, and training, highlighting the candidate’s supply chain experience.
  • Employer Letter of Support: A detailed letter on company letterhead from the employer detailing the roles, responsibilities and duties performed by the employee.
  • Official transcripts from one of our Academic Institutions that Supply Chain Canada has an accreditation agreement for that specific program listed. The transcript needs to include an official signature, is stamped with an embossed seal and it needs to show completion of the program within the last 5 years with a grade of 70% (or equivalent grade point) or higher. (Click here to see a full listing of agreements with accredited institutions)
  • If you send an official transcript from an academic institution that Supply Chain Canada does not have an academic agreement with, you will need to send along your official transcript (see guidelines above) AND you will need to send along the learning outcomes from that institution.
